Scratch

Scratch.mit.edu is the online version of Scratch v2.0 but there are lots of resources around for helping you to use it.
Have a look at scratch.co.uk for additional tasks applying real world effects such as gravity and friction.

Computer Science and the Law

As part of your course you will need to know about how the LAW applies to the use of IT.

Today you must undertake some research on the internet into some very specific LEGISLATION:

  1. The Computer Misuse Act
  2. The Malicious Communications Act
  3. The Copyright, Designs and Patents Act
  4. WEEE regulations relating to the safe disposal of computer equipment

You should use your KNOWLEDGE of how to create webpages (one per law) to record what you find. Do not simply copy and paste from the internet – that does not show that YOU understand it. Write out the information in your own words and LOOK UP any terms you come across that you do not understand.

Challenge: provide a set of hyperlinks that will allow the person reading your webpage to move from one page to another.
